about

Another wasted day, of which, once, there were so many to spare. But the branches of time cracked and gave way under the weight of our sorrows and greed. We found ourselves lost in an undercurrent, drifting further apart.

Lungs filling with water, unable to surface for air, as the illusion of control slipped through our fingertips.

Demons offered us solace at the bottom of a bottle. Like a message from ourselves, it washed up on our shore and soon enough, we were washed up also. It lit a fire in our core, and in our throats gave rise to a voice with the power to change the world. It bubbled up from deep within, but could not break through the glass womb of its birth.

Unable to free ourselves of our vices, we clung to our slave love.

We looked for help in all the wrong places, and by the time we found the right place, help had long ago left. The sun withdrew from sight. Friends became strangers, or enemies. The sorrow we once did all we could to avoid, became all we could feel.

And though we try to hide from it still, our spirits welcome the pain now; for pain is opus dei.

Without any hope, without proper fear - eyes closed. We stare at the dimming stars through dusty lenses as our own light dies out. We waste the days still, but now we know better. We fear no god.

And while the trumpets blare out, we hear nothing past the noise that escapes our own lips.
We are all just livestreaming the apocalypse.
